Interior Designer Job at Design Studio Blue, Denver, CO

  • Design Studio Blue
  • Denver, CO

Job Description

Build the Foundation for a Meaningful Interior Design Career

Design Studio Blue is a nationally recognized healthcare interior architecture and art consulting firm. We compete with the country's largest design firms by delivering exceptional client service, technical expertise, and innovative solutions for healthcare environments across the United States.

Our size is intentional. Every team member contributes. Every detail matters. Every designer can see the impact of their work.

We are seeking an Entry-Level Interior Designer who is energized by the details that turn a strong concept into a coordinated, buildable environment. This is an opportunity to deepen your Revit and documentation skills, learn healthcare design from an experienced team, and contribute to projects that make a genuine difference in the lives of patients, families, and caregivers.

Why This Opportunity Is Different

  • Build meaningful Revit and construction-documentation experience.
  • Learn directly from experienced healthcare designers.
  • Contribute to nationally significant healthcare projects.
  • See how design decisions move from concept through construction.
  • Earn increasing ownership as your technical capability and judgment grow.

Our Purpose

We create environments that promote healing, connection, dignity, and well-being. Our technical rigor is as important as our design vision because the people who use our spaces depend on thoughtful and well-coordinated solutions.

What You'll Contribute

  • Revit model development and documentation from design development through construction administration.
  • Interior construction documents including finish plans, elevations, casework, details, schedules, and specifications.
  • Accurate incorporation of redlines, design direction, and project standards.
  • Finish and material research, renderings, presentation boards, and client-meeting materials.
  • Coordination of information across drawings, schedules, specifications, and consultant documents.
  • Quality-control review of your own work before internal submission.
  • Resource library organization, team learning, site visits, and office initiatives.

What Success Looks Like in Year One

  • You understand and consistently follow Design Studio Blue standards and workflows.
  • Your Revit and documentation work becomes increasingly complete, coordinated, and accurate.
  • You apply feedback and avoid repeating preventable errors.
  • You communicate progress, questions, and risks early and reliably.
  • You take ownership of defined project components with appropriate oversight.
  • You are building the technical foundation for long-term growth in healthcare design.

Who Thrives Here

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Enjoys learning technical tools, standards, and construction details.
  • Is organized, precise, dependable, and attentive to inconsistencies.
  • Investigates problems and asks focused, thoughtful questions.
  • Values direct feedback and uses it to improve quickly.
  • Takes pride in producing accurate, well-organized work.
  • Wants meaningful contribution, visible growth, and increasing responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year interior design program; a CIDA-accredited program is preferred.
  • Academic, internship, or early professional experience using Revit for interior design or architectural documentation.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Enscape, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Strong graphic presentation skills and the ability to communicate design ideas clearly.
  • Portfolio demonstrating design thinking, visual communication, and at least one technical documentation or Revit example.
  • Occasional local travel to client and construction sites.

Benefits

  • $67,000–$70,000 base salary.
  • Paid time off and holidays.
  • Health and voluntary benefits.
  • Professional development support.
